Commenting on the March reports on branding, Dış Patent Board Chairman İhsan Karaca said:
“During the pandemic period, the brand and patent sector were positively differentiated and we observed a 20 percent increase in trademark applications compared to previous years. When we look at March, 3 thousand 959 trademark registration applications were made from 75 provinces. The 5 provinces with the highest number of applications were Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Konya. While the marketing, advertising and sales sectors took the lead, this sector was followed by education, training and entertainment services. The number of trademark applications stands out in the textile, shoes, restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes, computers and by-products and eyewear sectors.”
